NOTE: PLAYER/COACH INSURANCE:
Separately from the SBA registration, as members of the Alberta Basketball Association & Canada Basketball, at the time of submitting your child(ren)'s SBA registration, you will be instructed to pay the Alberta Basketball Association ($18) & Canada Basketball ($9) fees totalling $27. These fees are a one-time fee that expires one year from registration date and is due and payable to CB & ABA at time of registration (credit card payments only) (transactions will include two separate credit card entries). Please note that this fee is NOT being charged to you through our SBA fees, thus it is a separate entity.
Your Player registration is NOT complete until you pay your SBA fees as outlined in RAMP. Just paying CB and/or ABA is NOT a completed registration.
-
For past/existing SBA Players: Please be sure to register as an 'existing' member already; meaning, you will NOT need to create a new member unless you are new to SBA &/or the RAMP system possibly in basketball &/or other sports.
-
For Coaches that sign up: SBA is covering your $27 ABA/CB fee; therefore, you will NOT have to pay that when you register on RAMP as a Coach. NOTE: ALL Coaches must be registered on RAMP, MUST get a VSC completed and MUST complete the online Safe Sport Training course.
**ACCEPTABLE PAYMENTS = Credit Card (payment plan/split payments will be an option when you register on RAMP). If registering your child with applied for funding from KidSport or JumpStart, the ID number will be required at time of registration. All registrations are accepted online only.
Registration will remain open until the end of August unless SBA needs to cap its registration membership due to too many participants and/or not enough Coaches. In that case, some divisions may close sooner than others.
No cheques/cash will be accepted. If an alternate payment plan needs to be set up through KidSport/Jumpstart; please Email Darlene Anstice at your earliest convenience.
For funding through KidSport, please link HERE. For funding through the Jumpstart program, please link HERE.
2024-2025 SBA FEE STRUCTURE *(NOTE: all prices listed below increase by $50.00 AFTER August 1st)
PLEASE NOTE: "EYBA" stands for the Edmonton Youth Basketball Association. As a Zone Organization, SBA is a member of the EYBA. We place teams from 11U-18U into the EYBA league. Our teams compete against teams from other Zones that are also part of the EYBA (City Zones include NE, NW, SE, SW; Beaumont; Leduc; Morinville; Parkland; St. Albert; Wetaskiwin).
-
House League 7U/Tykes = $208.00
-
House League 9U = $391.00
-
EYBA 11U, 13U, 15U = $602.00
-
2024-2025 season: An additional once a month individual training session will be ran by professional trainers from Legacy Athletics. The fee is implemented into the fee structure and no further payment for this extra training will be necessary.
-

-
*EYBA 18U Season 2 (Winter) = $259.00

NOTE: When registering, a photo of the registrant is required, as well as Government ID. The ID can be the participant's birth certificate, passport or Alberta health care card; basically anything that proves the participant's date of birth. NOTE: Uploaded photos and government identification is kept safely on RAMP and is for our use only.

*IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING AGE/DIVISION*
It is EYBA's policy that NO over-aged players are allowed in any division. Regardless of how close a player may be to a lower division in terms of their birthday, playing down an age group is not permitted (the only possible exemption would be for players with severe medical/physical disabilities) and any exemption needs to be approved by SBA and EYBA. That being said, players may MOVE UP to play in an older division; this has to be determined by SBA and division/team availability. Priority will be given to players that are within the exact age group of their registered team/division.
-
Any player registering incorrectly in a lower division/category other then their age group will be moved to the appropriate division by SBA. Under-aged players will not be changed as players are allowed to play up in an older age category.
Both HOUSE LEAGUE & EYBA LEAGUE are under the '2024-25 Membership Year.'
NOTE: If you are a previous SBA/RAMP member, please ensure you select an existing member that will be listed. Do NOT select a new member.

(MANUAL RETRIEVAL OF ACTIVATION INFORMATION), PLEASE CLICK HERE.
NOTE: If your division of choice is NOT listed once you are in the RAMP registration site, this indicates that the division is FULL and no more registrations can be accepted at this time. What determines 'FULL' is #1) not having enough Coaches for the number of players registered; #2) EYBA's limit of teams coming from our Zone; and/or #3) not having enough gym time. However, you can be put onto a wait list by emailing Darlene and letting her know the division/date-of-birth of your child(ren). There is always the chance somebody pulls their registration that will open up space.
PLEASE NOTE: Should the division of choice show up with requiring a password, we are on a wait list system and those divisions are much fuller than we have Coaches for. However, should your late registration be for a 13U or 15U STEEL Tier 1/2/3 tryout, please email Darlene and you will be given a password to register (e.g. we are at that stage for 15U Boys).
See PROGRAMS (very top of page) for all details of programs, age groups, etc.
Any questions that you cannot find the answers to can be emailed to Darlene at the above email link.
