Whether you are new or returning to coaching community basketball, there is always something to learn!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank SBA's Coaching Development Director for volunteering many hours in putting on an amazing Coaching clinic on Oct. 15th and for his continued efforts to assist our Coaches that reach out throughout the season. Also, thanks to SBA's Mr. Pres., Steve Flowers; SBA VP Neil Dechamplain & SBA Secretary, Garry Johnston for your help at the clinic! Guys, you are very much appreciated and SBA is so very lucky to have you all!
Thanks to all the Coaches that attended the Clinic and hopefully there was something that you can take away that will help you become a great Coach!

When you are coaching at any level, please do not underestimate what a player can learn and what will soak in. If you take what you teach at the beginning of the season and compare it to the end of the season, there is no doubt that kids will improve. Many times what a player is taught at one level becomes even more evident once they move up to the next age group. Kids are sponges and will catch on in their own time; some quicker than others. Please have patience with the process of teaching; more importantly have a lot of FUN while you see their improvements over the course of the season(s).
Our SBA Coaching Technical Director is Jason Eggen and he will be reachable anytime during the season by email.
