EYBA 13U/15U Tier 1/2/3

2024-2025 Season Information

• Evaluations:
• Players must be registered prior to tryouts.
• SBA STEEL Teams tryouts are for competitive placements in EYBA's Tier 1,2 and Tier 3 divisions.
• Game Days:
• Boys: Tuesdays (to be confirmed by EYBA later in August, 2026)
• Girls: Wednesdays (to be confirmed by EYBA later in August, 2026)
• Teams in Tier 1, 2 and 3: Weekday games (Boys: Tuesdays, Girls: Wednesdays)
• Commitment: 1 Practice and 1 Game per week plus possibility of playing in provincial tournament in March. 

Important Dates

• Start-Up Dates for SBA Teams Competing in EYBA:
• Practices Start: Mid-September
• First Games: Late September or early October (Boys Tier 1,2,3 - Tuesdays - Girls Tier 1,2,3 Wednesdays)

• Evaluations Dates and times  (Please bring your own basketball for the evaluations):  Evaluations will be held at the EYBA CENTRE 7111 56 Avenue, NW, Edmonton, AB,

  13U Girls 

  • 13U Girls -- Monday, August 24th & Wednesday, August 26th 6:30-8pm

  13U Boys 

  • 13U Boys -- Tuesday, August 25th & Thursday, August 27th 6:30-8pm & Saturday Aug 29 1:00pm - 2:30pm Thursday’s and Saturday's session will be split due to the amount of athletes. Athlete's will be advised what 2nd session to attend at the Tuesday Session.

  15U Girls 

  • Monday, August 24th & Wednesday, August 26th 8:00pm - 9:30pm

  15U Boys 

  • Tuesday, August 25th & Thursday, August 27th 8:00pm-9:30pm 

   NOTE:  There will be NO Evaluations for 18U.  Teams are put together w/ requests and first-come first-served.

Season Details

• Season Runs: September to March (with time off at Christmas).
• Practice Schedule: 1.5-2 hours per week with possible additional practices.
• Fees: $650.00 (includes keeper jersey and shorts; additional costs may apply for team gear and tournaments). 

Important Information

• Provincial Tournament: Information will be posted here when available.
• Age Policy: No over-aged players allowed. Players can move up an age group; but not down, with the exception for severe medical/physical disabilities (requires approval from EYBA and Doctor's note must be provided)

Registration Information

• Payment Methods: Credit card (payment plans available). KidSport or JumpStart ID numbers required if using funding.
• Registration Deadline: August 8th or until capacity is reached.
