HL Coordinator Duties Division Coordinator roles:
Once registration is complete, SBA Executive Director will be in contact with you to inform you that the teams are ready to be set up.
Make up teams from registration list in late September/early October. Make up team lists and relay information back to Darlene for her records.
Help with the distribution of uniforms, balls and ball bags to coaches that are supplied by SBA. This equipment will be available for the DC to pick up from Darlene.
Keep communication open between all coaches and SBA by contacting them on a regular basis with any concerns/questions. Communicating information back to the coaches from SBA is very important, as there will be information throughout the season that all coaches must be made aware of.
The SBA website is the best communication tool used by all parties, and the coordinator must communicate this to those coaches.
Help in the delivery of pertinent information (eg; team photos, end of the year awards/trophies, etc.). These items are collected from Darlene at time when she has everything ready.
If there are any issues that come up during the season in a division, the Coordinator must communicate with the Executive Director. If there is the need for any discipline action, the Coordinator will be involved, along with the AD and other Executive members. Hopefully (but not mandatory) the coordinator's child(ren) will be involved in the same division that is being coordinated by that coordinator. This will assist in the coordinator's ability to over-see the successful operation of the division on a regular basis throughout the season. If there is somebody that offers to coordinate a division that his/her child(ren) is NOT involved in, SBA will consider their help should no other volunteers offer to take on the position. In that case, they might be asked to attend a game session or practice on occasion.
